Description:
We are currently offering a great opportunity for a Merchandise Account Manager with an agronomic background to join our Yandina branch team. Nestled in the centre of the Sunshine Coast, Yandina is the perfect location between the beach and the hinterland. What a great place to live and work! There are a tremendous diversity of enterprises with whom we work closely, including berries, pineapples, tree crops, dairy and beef, ginger, sugar cane, turf and nursery.
A typical day in this role may look like:
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will work closely with our key clients in the Yandina region to drive merchandise sales and growth. You will be responsible for driving the profitable performance and outcomes in merchandising across our Yandina branch. Providing sales and merchandise support to the Branch Manager with the aim of driving sales growth and increasing the geographic footprint of our services, you will ensure the achievement of financial targets. In addition, you will increase market share through the provision of quality advice and service to our rural clients and promoting a range of products which meet the current and anticipated needs of our customers. Together with managing safety, quality and the overall presentation of the store and merchandising to the highest standards, you will ensure Nutrien Ag Solutions is the first choice for customers in the region.
What we’ll love about you:
To be successful you will have a passion for Australian agriculture and ideally have a background in agronomy, ideally in horticulture specifically berries and other fruit crops. Your sound customer service, team skills, organisational, administrative, and computing skills will be complemented by excellent written and verbal communication skills. This position involves on farm work and travel, so a Driver’s license is a requirement. A forklift licence and ag safe certification is ideal.
