Our client is regarded as a leader in the agribusiness field, supplies a wide range of agronomy services, agchemicals, fertiliser and general rural merchandise and has a reputation for innovation in the industry.

About the role

A unique opportunity is available for an Agronomist to join this exciting team. You will be responsible for providing accurate advice to key clients on farm management and horticultural practices, which will add value to the sale of agchemicals, fertiliser and other products.

Responsibilities

• Providing sales support and agronomic technical advice to farmer clients
• Maintain close relationships with company’s key clients
• Coordinating and implementing strategies to value add the company’s existing services
• Developing and establishing relationships with new clients
• Assist with day to day retail operations of the branch
• Involvement in developing sales budgets and forecasting

Education / Experience / Skills 

• Tertiary qualifications in agriculture are essential
• Proven experience with broadacre cropping  production systems
• A commitment to achieving team goals and dedication to customer service.
• You will be self-motivated, reliable, capable of working unsupervised
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to recognise and pursue opportunities
