NutriAg is dedicated to the research, development, manufacture, sales and marketing of state-of-the-art crop nutrients, spray adjuvants and biological fertilizers and bio-pesticides.
The Area Manager will implement and shape the strategy and manage and direct the sales activities in the region both directly and through the existing territory specialists.
Work regions - Mississippi, Arkansas, Texas, and Louisiana
Key Accountabilities:
Grow sales through distributor, grower, and consultant relationships in the South East USA with the primary focus being Mississippi-Arkansas and Texas-Louisiana.
Work closely with key distributor crop advisors to grow business with branded and private label products
Manage sales relationships with distributor branch personnel within the region
Develop new industry relationships within the geography in a strategic manner to maximize growth potential
Work with the South East Area Manger and other South East Region team members in the development and implementation of the Strategic Business Plan
Launch new products and technologies as they are developed, and position them to enhance the NutriAg portfolio with existing and new customers
Train and educate NutriAg customers (and their customers) on an ongoing basis
Travel within the South Eastern Region to meet existing and find new customers to determine needs in an efficient and effective manner.
Develop the marketing plan with NutriAg marketing department and South Eastern Region team to implement timely promotional plans for the area
Weekly activity report with brief summary and monthly reporting on sales for the area including main activities, variances, achievements, issues, competition and forward view for the year.
Other related duties as required by business needs from time to time
What you need:
Bachelor's Degree in agriculture or related field
3-5 years’ experience in a technical or agronomic role and the production aspect of all crops (potato, wheat, barley, oats etc).
Familiarity with basic aspects of product R&D, field scale product evaluations and demonstrations.
Highly developed customer service skills with a proven ability to foster strong customer relationships and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Motivated, independent self-starter with results and solution orientation
Existing contacts within the dealer network would be a definite asset
