About the Company

Our client is one of the few remaining global companies actively creating both synthesised chemistry and innovative biological products for sustainable agricultural crop protection. With an experienced team of sales and technical support staff based in key agricultural production regions across Australia, they are leaders in their field. Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the sales and supporting the use of their proprietary products, along with the management of effective customer relationships in the agricultural regions of South Australia.

About the role

• Working within a defined sales territory and market segments
• Actively creating and delivering business plans
• Management of distribution partner activities
• Measuring and improving distributor performance
• Analysing and reporting market intelligence 
• Maximising sales and market share 

Responsibilities

• Act as account manager for key customer accounts Develop and/or implement sales plans and marketing campaigns aligned to business objectives, product and channel strategies
• Provide sales and technical support to retail distributors and end-users 
• Focus on customer relationships and market intelligence to optimise results 

Desired Education/Experience/Skills 

• Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or a related discipline 
• Experience in a commercial sales role in the fertiliser, crop protection, seed or rural merchandise industry 
• A comprehensive understanding of horticulture and broadacre production systems 
• Sound knowledge of traditional crop protection products including plant growth regulators and bio-simulants
• Strong Interpersonal skills and team orientation
