About the Company

Our client is a family owned mixed farming business operating a highly regarded White Dorper stud with interests in the productive S.E South Australia and pastoral holdings in the Gawler Ranges.

About the role 

Providing business and operational support and assistance to the owner to achieve commercial business outcomes through the effective management of day-to-day operations of the livestock, pasture and cropping enterprises.

Responsibilities 

• Coordinate and manage daily operations
• Assist with stud sales
• Provide leadership, development of staff
• Contribute to the management of operational and capital expenditure
• Coordinate maintenance activities and documentation
• Develop, build and enhance positive relationships with the varied and diverse third parties

Requirements
Education / Experience / Skills 

• Qualifications in business/agricultural related field or equivalent experience is desired
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience working in the agricultural industry
• Experience with pastures and livestock
• Current Driver’s License
• Experience operating and maintaining Farm and Earthmoving machinery
• AgSafe or ChemCert accreditation is required or the willingness to obtain
• Experience operating Stud Computer programs or the willingness to learn
