Our client’s system assists farmers by giving them the tools to maintain a correct irrigation regime all year round, focused on their crop needs and the environmental changing conditions. Using this system, farmers can manage their precious water resources correctly, prevent plant stress, reduce fruit loss, improve production, and maximize their crop potential year after year.
About the role
Initially, the role will be highly focused on growing market share with excellent customer service to existing customers being the ultimate goal.
Combining the roles of sales and technical support should facilitate regular presence across the territory to pursue new sales leads and build established relationships with valued clients while attending to urgent technical issues to ensure limited interruption to service.
Responsibilities
- Represent our clients’ services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding and following with consumer research to identify how our Software as a Service (SaaS) meets customers’ needs.
- Generate leads for new clients and build relationships with existing clients through regular contact.
- Plan and organise daily work schedules to call on existing or potential clients.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of territory action plans.
- Meet quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Liaise with the technical team to monitor technical issues for the region.
- Liaise with clients to support their attempts to resolve low-tech remediation to technical issues.
- Where hardware replacements are required, respond and solve issues within targeted timeframes.
- From time-to-time, liaise with third party installers across the region to maintain hardware installation quality.
- Contribute to sensor testing and development as directed by SupPlant’s Chief Scientific Officer.
Education / Experience / Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in agriculture, biology electronics or engineering,
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, and organizational skills
- Personal integrity
- Ability to work independently on a day-to-day basis with regular periods of support from other SupPlant employees
- Ability to travel extensively throughout South Australia, Victoria and southern New South Wales.
- Ability to occasionally travel to other Australian states and overseas.
