Our client is a commercial nursery and has become the partner of choice for Growers seeking consistently high-quality seedlings and a professional, flexible approach to doing business.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Grower with a recognised track record and relevant qualifications to join our Growing Team. Candidates with hands on experience operating computerised, automated Priva Irrigation Systems would be highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Meet seedling specifications
• Irrigation and moisture management, Pest and Disease control management and delivering optimal plant nutrition, health and overall quality 
• Maintaining appearance of growing area (Nursery), i.e. hygiene, good housekeeping, safety
• Liaising with relevant departments to ensure customer requirements are met
• Responsible for completing all daily reports and required records
• Periodic updates of growing operation to management

Education / Experience / Skills 

• Agricultural / Horticultural related qualification(s)
• Current farm chemical users certificate
• Current vehicle driver’s license
• Sound knowledge and experience in farm and warehousing operations
• Sound knowledge farm machinery operations
• Forklift LF License
• Intermediate competence in computer-based software
