Division Merchandise Manager West

About the Opportunity:

We are currently offering a great opportunity for an experienced Division Merchandise Manager to join our merchandise team in Western Australia (South). This critical role will see you partnering with approximately 24 branches to execute growth/pricing initiatives, drive revenue and ensure profitable growth within the division. In addition, you will:

• Ensure effective stock control and actively manage SPI to ensure budgeted inventory levels, stockturn & margins are achieved without inhibiting sales.
• Actively assist the business to plan and execute merchandising marketing and promotional campaigns and implement these strategies within the division.
• Establish and maintain consistent pricing for the region and maximise margin via price book
• Proactively develop and maintain business relationships to market products and services to achieve growth.
• Ensure effective stock control and management practices are in place at all times and conduct stocktakes in accordance with company policy.
• Develop staff knowledge and competency and provide coaching and employee opportunities to build the team’s capabilities.
• Participate in the division business planning process and report on financial operational performance of the division.

About You:

To be successful, you will have a strong technical background along with experience within pricing and margin management and sales target achievement through effective category development.  The ability to network and identify opportunities for business development will also be key to your success.  You will demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to foster solid long-term relationships with customers and key internal stakeholders together with the ability to drive business outcomes and performance. You will also have excellent communication both written and verbal.  Ideally you will have exposure to SAP ERP, together with strong MS Excel for reporting. Forklift and heavy rigid licence preferred.
