Oversee fertiliser operations from blending fertiliser to negotiating with suppliers and overseeing sales orders.

About the opportunity:

We specialise in all aspects of the fertiliser market for our customer base of local farmers, primary producers, and trade customers. Reporting to the Dalby Branch Manager, this role has a focus on delivering a quality service and ensuring each employee operates safely and efficiently to achieve business objectives.

Tasks are varied and you will be actively engaged in all aspects of the operation from; communication with agronomists and other branch staff, account management, negotiate with suppliers, develop pricing strategies, oversee stock levels, forecasting of inventory, overseeing sales orders, fertiliser blending, unloading trucks, and preparing orders for delivery. There are direct reports that will fluctuate throughout the season.

Please note, during peak seasons, this is a fast-paced position which requires flexibility in working hours.

About You:

You will have a strong work ethic, positive approach, and the ability to lead and influence. Your communication skills both written and verbal will be strong along with exceptional team collaboration capabilities.

You must demonstrate previous exposure to warehousing, logistics and supply chain, ideally gained from the farming and agriculture industry.  You will need to understand the clientele and the seasonal conditions, ideally have managed a team, and are keen to learn all aspects of fertiliser preparation, application, and safe handling procedures.

You will have a current driver’s license and forklift ticket. Ideally you will have exposure to SAP ERP, together with strong MS Excel for reporting.
