About the Company

Our client is a leading stockfeed business in Australia and New Zealand.  Their Brands include a range of products - major grains, pulses, protein meals, manufactured moist feeds, traditional grain mixes, sugar / starch mixes, pellets and an extensive range of co-product stock feeds.

About the role

This position is responsible for the development, maintenance and delivering of support to our customer base, through the provision of high-class customer service inclusive of problem solving, facilitating creative solutions, in depth product knowledge while upholding the company values at all times and achievement of profitable sales of all products in accordance with the Annual Budget, Forecast, Marketing plan and agreed Sales Strategy.

Responsibilities

• Create business proposals for new and existing opportunities. 
• Develop and manage on a daily basis an effective sales manner responding to the challenges of selling target volumes of the complete range of products in an organised, profitable and timely manner.
• Evaluate market trends and gather competitive information, identify trends that effect current and future growth of sales and profitability. Disseminate information to management and other sales representatives
• Gain new Clients and maintenance / retention of existing client base
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain customer rapport and confidence

Education / Experience / Skills 

• Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science or equivalent.
• Comply with approved workplace health and safety procedures and encourage others to do same.
• Not wilfully interfere with or misuse items on facilities which are provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare.
• Take reasonable care in relation to their own health and safety and that of others affected by their work.
• Support and promote improvements in work processes and help reduce or eliminate risks.
• Immediately report and rectify if possible and practicable, any hazardous conditions observed, including near miss incidents.
