National Procurement Manager - Seed

About the opportunity:

Playing a key role as part of Nutrien Ag Solutions’ National Procurement Team, this role will be responsible for the strategy development and implementation of the Seed category in the business. This includes supplier negotiation and management, product ranging, pricing and strategy communication and execution.

In a typical week, you may

• Coordinate implementation of Category and Product Strategy through Regional Seed Managers
• Identify and implement sales and margin improvement initiatives
• Implement Seasonal Activity and Promotional Plans (particularly to drive DynaGro brand)
• Set pricing strategy nationally, along with regional price book to manage total margin
• Maintain product list and price book to ensure accuracy of the data being used by the Sales and Operations teams
• Set Supply and Supplier Management Strategy (including sourcing, stocking policy and inventory management)
• Monitor supplier performance (sales value and volume, margins, rebate performance, COGS, marketing and promotional support, service level etc.)
• Negotiate national trading arrangements

About you

• 10+ years’ experience in the agricultural industry
• 3+ years’ experience in the seed industry
• Proven negotiation skills

• Willingness to travel
