Job Description: Product Specialist – Western Canada

Position Available: ASAP         Reports to: Managing Director              Location: Saskatchewan

 

Job Objective:

While focusing on delivering the highest level of customer service the Product Specialist provides on-site technical support of HORSCH machines in an assigned geographical territory. The Service & Product Support Specialist grows and solidifies dealer relationships by communicating, training, educating, and developing strategies focused on HORSCH equipment and agronomic solutions. Responsibilities of the position include infield technical assistance, sales support, project management, customer demonstrations as well as the execution of marketing activities to maximize engagement. Extensive travel is required which may include average weekly overnight stays of 3 nights per week.

 

Job Responsibilities: Other duties may be assigned 

  • Strengthen dealer and user relationships to promote, recommend and optimize Horsch products and solutions, as well as meeting the current agronomic trends within the assigned territory.
  • Provide infield specialized assistance to dealers and users for optimal machine operations and increasing technical knowledge with planned training programs.
  • Supporting the product development process and prototypes during the transition to series production.
  • Responsible for retrofit programs, technical updates, and preparation of documentation.
  • Roll-out and train dealers on HORSCH portal and service information system.
  • Coordination of all warranty claims within the assigned territory.
  • Prepare sales and stocking plans for parts of all HORSCH and LEEB product lines.
  • Generate ideas and solutions through solid customer relationships. Follow up on customer needs by regular communication within the team.

 

Required Skills:

  • Experience with AG equipment and service functions is a must.
  • Knowledge of the AG industry and dealer networks is required.
  • Strong technical acumen including electronics and precision farming.
  • Technical education or technical work experience.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Self-starter, ambitious & motivated with ability to work in a team.
  • Advanced computer skills such as Microsoft Office Suite
  • Two years higher education or equivalent relevant work experience
  • Valid driver’s license and passport

 

Compensation: This is a salary paid position based on experience and education. Our benefit package includes Health, Dental, Vision, Insurance and other benefits as well as four weeks of Vacation/Paid Time Off per year.
