About the role

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving the sales and supporting the use of their proprietary products, along with the management of effective customer relationships in the agricultural regions of Central Queensland

Responsibilities

Responsible for achieving territory sales plan according to the national budget within the defined territory and driving product and market development opportunities and activities in the region.

• Planning relationship building with key regional offices and key retail outlets to achieve agreed sales targets
• Develop a strong network with advisors, consultants and key influencers
• Implement national marketing programs and product sales strategies in the Territory
• Conduct product training and provide technical support to customers, advisors and end users
• Co-ordinate product demonstrations and keep abreast of product development activities in the region
• Provide sales forecasts to HO as required and manage agency inventory in the field
• Operate within the allocated Territory expenditure budget

Education / Experience / Skills 

• Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or a related discipline 
• Experience in a commercial sales role in the fertiliser, crop protection, seed or rural merchandise industry 
• A comprehensive understanding of horticulture and broadacre production systems 
• Sound knowledge of traditional crop protection products including plant growth regulators and bio-simulants
• Strong Interpersonal skills and team orientation
