Laforge Systems is the North American distribution subsidiary of Laforge. Laforge is a French manufacturer of tractor attachments enhancing user productivity (front hitch and PTO as well as Implement Guidance interface).

Laforge Systems is based in Iowa along with Laforge s North American manufacturing operation. The company has been serving North American agriculture equipment dealers for more than 30 years, offering high quality products and superior customer support. Laforge Systems is experiencing company growth due to the increased interest in their DynaTrac implement guidance interface and expanding front hitch and PTO markets. Several positions are open across North America and will be filled based on location and background of the selected candidate. The candidate will work remote, He/ She will be expected to reside in assigned region. The company is agile with quick decision making, short communication lines and high potential growth product range.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

  • Promote and support all aspects of LAFORGE Systems business in the defined Region of North America to develop sales.  
  • Train and support LAFORGE systems staff and dealers on products, product value added features, policies/ procedures. 
  • Gather, maintain, and communicate competitive product information.
  • Identify business growth opportunities and follow up on them through dealer development, OEM partnerships or other distribution relationships.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Provide information and training to dealers highlighting features and competitive advantages of new and existing products to increase product knowledge and sales.
  • Provide feedback to help establish and implement sales strategies to generate year over year growth and increased revenue.
  • Maintain and Grow distribution relationships for LAFORGE Products. 
  • Attend trade shows, sales meetings, and dealer meetings to promote assigned product lines.
  • Act as a voice of the customer by surveying customers and dealers for product requirements and market trends.
  • Gather and analyze industry and competitive sales information to make recommendations for strategies to increase Company sales.
  • Identify need for new product development and existing product improvements.  Guide engineering and product development from a sales standpoint.
  • Product launch support including product bulletins, price pages, programming input and suggestions.
  • Provides information for management by preparing short-term and long-term product sales forecasts and special reports and analyses, answering questions and requests.
  • Introduces and markets new products by developing time-integrated plans with sales, advertising, and needs suggestions for assigned region.
  • Provide feedback to determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; anticipating volume; and special and customized orders.
  • Manage and minimize customer and product support cost through proper and timely dealer support with product repair, and replacement.
  • Maintain CRM database for accurate dealer and prospect information.
  • Delegate any appropriate work to the Customer Support/ sales staff.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.

        Education

  • Bachelor s degree in an area of study that supports the position.  Work history with demonstrated capability is required.
  • Must have computer skills (Word, Excel, e-mail, social media) and the ability to interface with computer-based CRM system.

 

        Experience

  • Successful 5 years of experience in sales.
  • Thorough knowledge of Agriculture equipment industry
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude including the ability to operate equipment.
  • Ability to multitask and effectively manage priorities.
  • Good interpersonal skills including the ability to be flexible and work as part of a team.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have valid driver s license.
  • Must have ability to lead by example.
