Sales Agronomist

SCOTLAND AGROMART LTD. is a leading full service agricultural crop input supplier, covering a diverse range of field and horticultural crops in Brant, Haldimand and Norfolk Counties. Due to an increase in the demand for our services, we are currently seeking a Sales Agronomist to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Engage with fruit & vegetable customers, providing agronomic and crop protection solutions to in-season problems as needed
• Conduct in-field scouting of field crops
• Provide fertility recommendations for horticultural cropping systems
• Conduct counter sales of products and services provided to customers

Job Requirements (Skills & Qualifications):

• Bachelor of Science or Diploma in Agriculture preferred
• Knowledgeable in seed, pesticide and fertilizer products
• Self-motivated and results-orientated, able to meet sales targets with little supervision
• Previous experience in field working including scouting, plots and soil sampling an asset
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)
• Excellent interpersonal skills, works well in a team setting
• Certified Crop Advisor designation an asset
• Valid Ontario G-Class Driver's License
• Enjoys working outdoor and willing to work overtime hours during peak season
