Sales Merchandise & Delivery Driver

We are currently offering an exciting opportunity for a full-time store salesperson and delivery driver to help drive sales of our agricultural merchandise products. This role will be based out of our Deloraine branch.   

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Branch Manager will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is broad and can include local farmers, primary producers and trade customers and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone whilst:

• Performing general administrative tasks including stock control, ordering, receipting, and dispatching of goods
• Loading and unloading trucks, dispatching, and unpacking orders and deliveries
• When required, you will complete deliveries in our company vehicles
• Assisting customers with pricing and product queries  
• Processing counter sales
• Maintaining safety processes
• Assisting with merchandise campaign material
• Maintaining a welcoming, friendly, and well-presented store environment

About You:

• You will have a forklift ticket and a MR licence.   
• You must demonstrate a passion for customer service as well as a positive approach and the determination to succeed
• Ideally you will have exposure to or a strong passion in farming and agriculture with the enthusiasm to learn about new products
• Previous success in a sales or customer service role
• You will be a self-motivated person capable of nurturing and sustaining strong customer relationships with the ability to follow through and “get the job done” in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team with the ability to take direction well
• You will be keen to learn all aspects of retail operations and sales. 
• This position may involve working Saturday on a rotating roster
