Sales Representative

Jackson Seed Service uses the most advanced technologies to process, condition, package, and distribute the highest quality food and seed grade soybeans. Farmers from throughout Southwestern Ontario rely on Jackson Seed Service for their cutting-edge technology to preserve the integrity of their harvest and ensure the distribution of their crop to trusted soy manufacurers. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Provide customers with soybean and corn seed sales support
• Support off-farm grain origination and logistics
• Retain growers for IP soybean and seed acre contracts
• Work with Syngenta Seeds NK Brand territory representatives

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Deal with customers in a courteous and timely manner to maintain current customers and develop relationships with future customers
• Develop and maintain strong knowledge of seed products available
• Invoice customer orders and review/process customer statements
• Ensure inventory is adequate for orders
• Assess customer concerns or replant requests and respond appropriately
• Exhibit excellent interpersonal, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Comply with company quality policies and safety procedures
• Co-operate with other departments to achieve company goals
• Maintain safe and orderly environment

REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid ON driver’s license
• Agriculture sales experience would be preferred
• Basic agronomic knowledge
• Ability to work with minimum supervision
• Requires long hours, weekends and overtime when seasonal requirements demand
• Excellent organizational skills are required
• Good experience with computers (ie. Windows, Microsoft Excel/Word, DOS, Thede Ward)
