We are looking for a customer focused sales professional to join our Ballarat branch. 

About the opportunity:

Reporting to the Merchandise Manager you will focus on developing strong customer relationships. Our customer base is broad and can include local farmers, primary producers and trade customers and the focus of your role is to provide a memorable experience for all customers either in store or over the telephone.

Responsibilities:

• Handling, receiving, and dispatching of store stock
• Providing support for the processing of sales, administration, and delivery of product
• Supporting inventory management, including ensuring to undertake the storage, handling, receiving, and dispatching of stock in a safe manner 
• Respond promptly to enquiry of new and existing customers
• Performing rural product sales (in store) as well as general shed and yard duties including maintaining store presentation
• Handling, packing and delivering bulk and bagged Fertiliser

About You:

• You must demonstrate a passion for customer service as well as a positive approach and the determination to succeed.
• You must have a current driver’s licence and ideally, you’ve had experience with towing a trailer. It is advantageous if you have a current forklift license.
• Ideally you will have exposure to or an interest in farming and agriculture (including animal health and ag chem) with previous success in a retail sales or customer service role. 
• You will be a self-motivated person capable of nurturing and sustaining strong customer relationships with the ability to follow through and “get the job done” in a fast-paced environment.
• You will be keen to learn all aspects of retail operations and sales.
