Seneca Foods is one of the most highly integrated fruit and vegetable processing companies in the US. We manage many—and in some cases all—aspects of production. At Seneca, we produce seeds, harvest crops, manufacture our own containers and provide a wide range of nutritious fruit and vegetable products.
Seneca’s high quality produce is sourced from over 1,600 American farms—family farmers we have done business with for many years, and in some cases generations. Our motto of Farm Fresh Goodness Made Great echoes throughout our Fundamental Beliefs, which have been key to our success since 1949.
We are an honest company, led by experts who respect both growers and employees. By holding everyone to high standards, we help customers reap the benefits of accountability: quality produce. The integrity of our products is measured by elements such as food safety, customer satisfaction and environmental impact.
Seneca is a publicly traded company that still embodies the close-knit family pride that runs several generations deep. Our familial approach to empowering staff—through responsibility and respect—results in long-term employee loyalty and expertise.
Our conservative financial approach and commitment to the business helps to provide value through tangible results for shareholders and customers. Company acquisitions and capital investment in technology for our state-of-the-art facilities deliver value to all who are involved.
We put all of our effort into being the best at what we do and know that our relationships—both old and new—help make Seneca a market leader.

We pack our sweet peas fresh from the field so you can count on consistent quality, color, and flavor. We have peas available in various sieve sizes and mixes from early June petite peas, to larger more mature peas.
Sweet Peas are one of your most versatile vegetables. Peas provide flavor, color, and texture in stews and casseroles. They're a perfect addition to chicken or turkey pot pies. Commitment to Health
Our products play a key role in the journey toward healthy eating. USDA dietary guidelines recommend we eat more plant-based foods that provide fiber, antioxidants and healthier fats, including fruit, vegetables, whole grains, beans and nuts. These nutrients are linked to lower risks of heart disease, diabetes, cancer and obesity.
Working with Nutrition Experts
Supermarkets throughout the US are increasingly employing in-house dietitians to provide consumers with the health and wellness information they seek. Seneca has taken a lead role in having our own nutrition experts provide educational resources on topics such as organics, GMO, BPA, recipes and serving suggestions.
Seneca is working with Foodservice marketing staff and dieticians to provide tools to increase fruit and vegetable consumption in out-of-home settings. Learn more about the nutrition experts Seneca is working with.
Saftey is one of the most important aspects of any food processing facility. At Seneca, our commitment comes to life in a number of ways through our quality program. The format of this program empowers all our food handlers to honor theri individual roles while working together with other plant teams to ensure saftey. Our overall model has its advantages because it relies on specialists - from R&D to thermal processing - to concentrate on areas where they have years of exprience while sharing knowledge with others.
Our People encompasses every aspect of the Seneca Foods business — it’s about the farmers who we’ve been partnering with for generations; the employees whose loyalty we pride ourselves on; the communities where we live and work; the young people we support through our foundation; and finally, the customers and consumers who ultimately enjoy the (literal) fruits of our labor.
We are proud to support American farmers by growing 99% of our produce domestically in the US. Growing and harvesting crops on American soil helps support local economies in all of our locations.
