Come work for our growing company!

TerraLink is looking for an experienced technical sales representative who wants to work in the field horticulture markets to manage an existing sales territory with a considerable growth potential.

Location: The Okanagan region of British Columbia.

Focus: Orchard, Viticulture, Field Horticulture Crop Management

Qualifications: The position requires an individual with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture or equivalent. A diploma in Agriculture would be acceptable for the individual with the right combination of knowledge, skills and experience. Knowledge of soil and plant science as well as general chemistry, biology, botany, and microbiology is an asset.

About the position: For nearly 50 years, TerraLink has helped farmers and professional growers in Western Canada to get the best out of their crops. We manufacture organic and conventional fertilizers, and we sell a wide range of crop protection products, seed, and other crop inputs.

But working at TerraLink is about more than selling products. The successful candidate will help professional growers achieve improved results in yield and crop growth, as well as using conventional and IPM concepts in crop protection while helping customers manage their farm soil conservation needs from a sustainability point of view.

This includes factors such as:

  • managing soils, plant and water test results and recommendations, ensuring soil nutrient applications meet any criteria including the 4 R’s and do not exceed any limits for nutrient loading,
  • determining soil health and advising in modifications to meet soil health needs,
  • advising on livestock waste uses,
  • operating in an environmentally sustainable environment.

The successful candidate is relationship-oriented, has good written and verbal communication skills and can present competently to peers and the farming community. A personal drive to succeed in a business environment as a team player while meeting corporate goals and objectives is a must.
