About the role

We are looking for a Telecommunications and Voice Specialist to join the growing team on a permanent, full time basis.

As the Telecommunications & Voice Specialist, you will work within the IT Operations team and be responsible for the network infrastructure, primarily voice network, including planning, supplier and vendor management and operational responsibilities.

This role also includes managing the company network infrastructure and participating in incident, change and problem resolution, customer and vendor relationship management, the deployment of strategic services, capabilities, processes, practices, policies and/or systems and provide timely and appropriate information and advice to key stakeholders, supporting high-quality decision making.

To be a successful candidate, you will need to have a strong understanding of network infrastructure, VOIP systems and network hardware. You will also need to be able to implement, administer, and troubleshoot network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, VOIP devices, VC systems and controllers. A deep knowledge of application transport and network infrastructure protocols is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Network management including assisting in the implementation of new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks
• Configuring, monitoring, and managing Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and Video conference facilities (TIPT, Polycom, Logitech etc)
• IT Network Hardware Deployment including arranging scheduled upgrades and monitoring
• Leading Meeting Room Technology uplifts to meet modern work practices.
• Change management for large-scale organisational change efforts, proactively managing change controls and communicating impact in project scope, identify issues and devising contingency plans as well as documentation management.
• Issue management and resolution

About you

• 3+years of Network engineer experience working in IT environments
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure and network hardware.
• Expert knowledge in VOIP systems and migration from legacy systems to cloud VOIP systems.
• Deep understanding of Video Conference systems and meeting room technology.
• Proactive and can think laterally to problem solve with root cause identification skills
• Self-driven and can work autonomously
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Organised with a natural inclination for planning strategy and tactics
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an organisation
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
