About the Company

About the role

The purpose of the Territory Manager role is to grow sales of our client’s software products, and develop new, long-term client relationships within the Sunraysia and broader inland irrigated regions. The role will work closely with the national sales and marketing team, and reports to the CEO. In addition to the development of new business the role is responsible for the ongoing management of the existing territory client base.   


Key Responsibilities

  • Client relations:
  • Create business development proposals for new opportunities.
  • Identify and grow opportunities within territory and collaborate with management to ensure growth attainment
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Ensure that software solutions achieve client needs and objectives in a timely and successful way.


  • Sales:
  • Work with the national sales and marketing team to identify leads
  • Reach out to leads identified to create brand awareness
  • Demonstrate software to prospects 
  • Meet identified sales targets across the portfolio of our client’s software products within territory 
  • Attend company meetings, field days, customer workshops, promotional activities as requested by management
  • Achieve relevant KPI’s as required by this position, and provide appropriate input to provide KPI data
  • Assist in maintaining appropriate company representation to the current and potential client base by providing input into the website, marketing/promotional materials, advertising media and direct client representation.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate customer details and records for CRM
    • Ensure product sales schedules are up to date


Education / Experience / Skills 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science or equivalent
  • New business development and relationship management experience
  • Agronomic experience either via education or prior work experience
  • A background in horticultural farming, soil science, nutrition and irrigation Understanding of AgTech / the precision farming ecosystem
  • Drivers license + car
