We currently have a full-time position available for a driven Wool Account Manager to join our team based out at our Ararat, VIC branch.


About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the Regional Manager Wool, you will contribute to the achievement and success of the wool team based in VIC. You will aim to promote and grow Wool sales and Wool GP within the region to ensure budget / KRAs are met or exceeded with the aim of protecting, maintaining and growing the whole business.


In this role you will:   

  • Identify client needs, ensure they are met and manage after sales service
  • Proactively maintain and develop effective multi-level and multi-activity sales and business relationships with all customers across the business
  • Assist in the development and implementation of marketing plans and effective sales strategies
  • Provide a professional service to all clients and suppliers
  • Maintain current company customer databases –
  • Assist the Supply Manager in accurate forecasting of product requirements


About you:

To be successful in this role, you will bring with yourself a curious mind and an appetite to learn. You will have a strong work ethic, positive approach and the ability to lead and influence.


In addition, you will have.

  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Minimum 3 years practical experience in wool related role
  • The ability to develop and maintain customer relationships
  • Have knowledge of wool, sell wool and handle sheep
  • Provide advice on pre shearing preparation
  • Determine wool classing strategies
  • Have a strong understanding of wool marketing
  • Appraise wool using industry descriptions
  • An ability to maintain effective relationships with other team members through ongoing communication.
  • Strong work ethic
  • Sound, computer and organisational skills and an eye for detail.
